back about the time of this filming...I attended a concert of his..I asked his son, who was escorting us, why they didn't introduce him when he just walked out and started playing...The reply was that "he figures if folk are payin' $16.00 (1984) a person to see him, they must know who he is". That was Waylon straight up...honest, all about the people. Thanks for posting the clip.
Great story, Tim. I have a soft spot in my heart for Waylon, Willie and the boys. Their music has a genuine quality missing from what gets played on country radio today.
