I'm very sorry that you see her position as "taking the high road".
I am a conservative christian woman and mom of 4. I've breastfed all of them, including the current infant.
I've breastfed everywhere, including the Library of Congress. I've quite certain that even though I don't resort to hiding under a blanket or going to the bathroom (disgusting and unhealthy), no one, besides my doctors and my husband have every seen my breasts.
The movement on facebook is NOT about letting it all hang out... it's about showing the fact that facebook, myspace, and indeed, society in general, have a very warped and twisted view of breasts and breastfeeding. It is fine and socially acceptable to wear underwear as outwear, to show as much flesh as possible, in an alluring as possible way, but it is somehow indecent to feed your child without constructing a tent or going to the public bathroom.

I agree with you on the warped societal standards, but I'm not convinced a mass movement to post photos on FB is the best way to advance the cause. Of course, I might change my tune after my wife and I have actually gone through it...which we're about to do. Blessings!
